Important changes to Player of the Month Prize Structure
NSW Player of the Month (POTM) increases to $2,000 every month, including a $1,500 Million Dollar event ticket!
With the recent announcement of the discontinuance of The Showdown, traditionally held at The Star each October, there will be a change to the prizing on offer for the regular NSW Player of the Month (POTM) promotion.
The three players with the highest leaderboard scores every month have long been awarded a $600 Showdown ticket each for the upcoming event. From 01 May 2016 (May POTM) the prizing for this event will change to:
- 1st – $1,500 Million Dollar event ticket
- 2nd – $300 cash
- 3rd – $200 cash
The total prize value each month increases from $1,800 to $2,000.
Additionally a new POTM trophy will be awarded to the player with the highest score every month. This will be awarded at each NSW State Champs to the winner of the previous month POTM.
In another change to the promotion, any player may now win only one (1) ticket in the POTM per season*.
For the full terms and conditions of this promotion see the NSW Player of the Month webpage here.
http://www.playapl.com/Documents.asp?ID=1014&Title=NSW+Player+of+the+Month*In the event that a player has the highest score in the POTM promotion two or more times in a season the $1,500 Million Dollar event ticket will drop down to the player with the next highest score. The player with the highest score will receive the cash prize that would otherwise have been awarded to the second-placed player. Should, in the third month of a season, two players that have both already won a $1,500 Million Dollar event ticket during that season place in first and second positions then the $1,500 Million Dollar event ticket will drop down to the player in third position that month. In this instance the players in first and second position will receive the cash prizes for second and third position respectively.
